We are looking for a Commissioning Manager to join our growing team. Reporting to the Programmes Director, this role has been created for an individual to establish and lead a new Commissioning Team.

The Commissioning team will be accountable for all activities relating to planning, execution and documenting of the system commissioning process, ensuring all vehicles and systems are tested and commissioned to a high standard and ready for customer acceptance testing and delivery.
Commissioning Manager Duties:
Planning and leading commissioning and related activities across all applicable projects.
Developing logical and efficient commissioning plans and schedules in line with project timelines; tracking deliverables and preparing commissioning documentation.
Liaising with Projects and Sales during the handover process and customer communications to ensure all agreed customer specifications and configuration options are understood and will be tested and ready for FAT, HAT & SAT.
Building and leading a technical commissioning team that can execute commissioning activities and support system configuration and fault-finding.
Approving commissioning test documentation, test records and checklists, ensuring high quality standards are adopted throughout.
Producing commissioning reports for all phases of commissioning; ensuring relevant certification and associated records are provided for final customer handover.
Managing resource planning and allocation for all commissioning projects.
Preparing progress reports for all phases of commissioning for both internal and customer briefing.
Working with Production/Production Engineering to clearly define in-build testing and specification/documentation requirements for submission as part of the customer documentation handover pack prior to commencement of commissioning.
Working closely with Production and Engineering to ensure synergy between Production system/subsystem testing and commissioning activities.
Coordinating all interfacing between teams/departments and service providers that support commissioning activities.
Maintaining responsibility for the management of safety during all commissioning activities, up to the point at which the new vessel/equipment is transferred to Maritime Operations.
Ensuring that appropriately calibrated test equipment is used during the execution of all commissioning/testing activities.
Preparing for and supporting Maritime Operations to ensure successful completion of Sea Trials.
Liaising with Customer, Classification Societies and Subcontractors in sync with the Project Manager as required.
Providing effective team support to the Sales & Business Development team in estimating new bid proposal costs and risks associated with commissioning activities.
Providing supplementary support to the Technical Support team and customer with off-site technical support and systems support post-delivery as required.
To work with Engineering and Production Engineering to improve product design and reduce failures.
To work closely with the Quality department to identify and reduce process failures, build failures and warranty returns.
Commissioning Manager Requirements:
Experience within the Engineering Industry at a senior level.
Able to show examples of effective team leadership and positive influence.
Engineering Design or Manufacturing degree or equivalent, ideally within the marine domain. Strong people management, communication and organisational skills with multiple stakeholders both customer, end user and internal.
Ability to apply the level of detail required to ensure commissioning activities are robust, documented and meet/exceed customer, internal and quality requirements.
Able to positively react and adjust to changing scenarios in order to continue to meet operational plans.
Desirable Experience & Skills:
System/vessel commissioning experience in a marine environment.
Experience within the Marine industry.
