Manufacturing Technician

About the Role

This position is responsible for in-process and final testing on Lens Assemblies and optical peripherals (MTF, Interferometer & ESS).

Primary Responsibilities

Optical & ESS testing of assemblies, sub-assemblies and optical peripherals

Detailed technical data record keeping and reporting

Test equipment set up and maintenance

Desired Education and Experiences

Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Physics or Optics/Photonics preferred

1 – 2 years demonstrated work experience in a related discipline

General understanding of first order optics

Theoretical and practical knowledge of optical testing methods an asset

Ability to read and interpret mechanical and optical drawings

Working knowledge of Fizeau interferometers an asset

Ability to work closely with others in a small team

Solid interpersonal communication
