Our Mississauga branch is looking for a new Transportation Operations Specialist to join their Contract Logistics team.

Your Role

The Outbound Transportation Coordinator is accountable for maintaining excellent service levels for our internal and external customers through timely processing & coordination of outbound shipments and oversees cycle of order fulfillment, accurate data entry, continuous process improvement and the prompt resolution of issues.

Your Responsibilities

Complaints investigation and follow up on corrective actions with carriers and DC flips.

Checking clients Special Deliveries log daily and advising carriers of special instructions.

Compliance to GUI-0069 for Temperature Control of Drug Products during Storage and Transportatio.

Compliance with Kuehne+Nagel’s Quality Safety Health & Environment (QSHE) requirements.

Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines for drugs and health products.

Promotes safe work environment and support HSE policies.

Review Month end reports as necessary. i.e order types.

Site evaluation request, send to carrier receive evaluation from carrier and update Baxter.

Trailer -Container detention and onsite trailer pool.

Freight Audit & Pay.

Update client logs for delays, undeliverables, capacity issues.

Coordinate Claims, Delays Reporting & Investigation, Expedite Orders.

Weekend On-Call alternating contacts – update client, & carriers.

Billing Inquiries from accounting and work on them ie. Storage charges, validate shpmts for Kuehne+Nagel Finance.

Coordinate / data input details for client KPIs around transport services as well as Holiday Planning.

Pursue continuous improvement initiatives to drive increased productivity and service levels.

Comply with GMP requirements as applicable.

Your Skills and Experiences

Bachelors Degree.

Working experience in Supply Chain area at a high-value items retail industry company or at the Logistics Provider servicing such industry.

Customer Service Experience.

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines.

Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Product Offering (principally Excel and Access).

Attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.

Solid Interpersonal skills both verbal and written and Team-oriented, committed, driven, assertive and self directed.
