Kuehne+Nagel Hiring for SUMMER PLACEMENT – HR Future Talent at Birmingham Full Time

Our Summer Placements are open to university students in any year of study, who wish to gain valuable work experience during the summer. Over a period of 10 weeks, you will have first-hand experience in the front line of our business operations. We’re looking for students who have a passion for HR, and want to gain real-life experience in a fast paced and complex environment. If you’re ambitious, driven, and eager to show what you can do, this is a great way to start your career in logistics.

Your Role

Our summer placements in 2022 will run for 10 weeks from 20 June-26 August 2022. In Kuehne+Nagel’s Welcome & Excellence team, we find and develop the best talent; shaping the future of Logistics. As a national team, we get to work across the UK offering future talent programmes for graduates, placement students & apprentices (including apprenticeships for internal development). We are involved in all aspects of the employee lifecycle and activities include attraction, selection, development & professional qualification activities, supplier management, and ROI & performance tracking

Your Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:
Working hand-in-hand with the Operational Business and HR teams to co-ordinate, administer and deliver excellent future talent programmes.

Supporting recruitment campaigns and selection processes

Development & delivery of our school outreach toolkits and activities

Coordinating on-boarding & induction activities (branding, materials, event management)

Continuous Improvement projects linked to feedback gathered from our trainees

Your Skills and Experiences

Currently studying for a degree qualification

A passion for HR and people development

Ability to work on own initiative

Strong communication skills

Strong planning and organisational skills with an ability to manage high volume and varied workload.

A good team player

A willingness to learn

Driving licence not essential as long as candidates can reach the site by public transport
