The Centre

We have a diverse range of educators who form the team of KU ANSTO Children’s Centre located in ANSTO Lucas Heights Campus (South of Sydney towards Menai) , this site would suit someone who has their own transport.

KU ANSTO Children’s Centre offers a state of the art, purpose built long day care service for children aged from 6 weeks to 6 years old. Specifically designed to meet the needs of Australia’s Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) families, the centre offers an excellent learning environment for young children, with specially designed indoor and outdoor spaces within the bushland setting.

Our “loose parts” play approach offers a significant contribution to children’s physical, social and intellectual development. Loose parts lend themselves to innovation and will encourage more symbolic (representational) play, which is a higher level of play.

The Role

We are looking for a Child Care Educator with a Certificate III qualification who values partnering with families, is a team player, takes initiative and wants to join a passionate, capable and dedicated team.

This full time, permanent position will see you working 8 hours per day , Monday-Friday, a ccruing a Monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO).

We want you to be as passionate about early childhood education and as committed to achieving positive outcomes as we are.

To be considered, you must have:

• Current Employee Working with Children Check.
• Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
• Current Child Protection Training
• Recognised Certificate III in Children’s Services or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
• Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
• Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
• Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
• Current knowledge of Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
• Demonstrated computer literacy skills
