KSM- Securian Financial Group Hiring for Sr Marketing Specialist at Osseo, MN Full Time

Are you a dynamic marketer with a passion for working on creative marketing strategies, thought leadership, product marketing and sales acquisition campaigns to support our financial institution business? With a strong focus on strategic marketing and consultative selling, you will lead, develop and manage integrated marketing campaigns targeting decision makers and their clients at credit unions, finance companies, banks, and affinity and association markets.

In this role you will work across a matrixed organization to help drive sales and revenue, collaborating with business leaders, distribution partners and marketing professionals. In addition to increasing awareness of the Securian Financial brand with our target audiences, you will market a growing product portfolio of consumer and institutional products.

Create and execute marketing plans focused on product adoption and overall success for our customers.

• Conduct multi-channel marketing and communications plans to drive awareness, consideration and purchase of our products and services.
  
• Lead marketing communications to launch new products and financial wellness solutions for our clients, prospects, and their customers.
  
• Create product communications, web content and educational materials to educate distribution partners, and clients on the benefit of our products and services.

  Help drive sales through brand awareness campaigns, prospect communications, proposal support and conference strategies.
  

• Develop innovative approaches to lead generation and nurturing through digital marketing campaigns, account-based marketing, email, social media, print, and events.
  
• Help the sales team create compelling proposals, nurture prospects, and prepare for finalist meetings.
  
• Develop conference and sponsorship strategies to promote awareness, networking and support our clients and prospects who attend the events.

  Develop and lead a thought leadership strategy to highlight our expertise in the market, drive awareness and engage clients and prospects.
  

• Develop and share Securian’s perspective on the markets we serve (customer needs, industry trends, regulatory environment, etc.).
  
• Work with our customer insights team to conduct proprietary research (i.e., financial well-being, new digital needs/solutions, credit insurance, debt protection, customer insights, etc.).
  
• Develop compelling stories, based on research and data , to share with our distribution teams, clients and partners.
  
• Work with corporate communications to drive awareness through paid, earned, and owned media.

  Test, measure, and analyze marketing programs and campaigns using multiple criteria.
  

• Evaluate marketing program and campaign results across multiple channels using relevant criteria, including KPIs, response rates, cost/revenue analysis, qualitative key learnings, and overall effectiveness.
  
• Develop and execute optimization strategies based on results and data to convert leads into customers.
  
• Preparing, materials to showcase campaign results.

  Qualifications:
  

• Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal communications skills, with the ability to effectively interface with all levels of associates across the organizations.
  
• Experience leading innovative marketing and thought leadership campaigns.
  
• Ability to quickly understand and use technology to support the marketing operations (e.g., Workfront, Salesforce marketing cloud, analytics dashboards, etc.)
  
• Strong understanding of metrics and analytics to improve campaign results.
  
• Ability to grasp financial concepts and communicate them effectively, succinctly, and appropriately for each medium.
  
• Ability to learn and understand the mindsets of our target audiences including distributors, financial institution associates and their clients/customers.
  
• Initiative-taker who can assess needs, make independent decisions and determine action plans to deliver impactful results.
  
• Strong organization, planning, and prioritization skills to effectively balance multiple projects in a fast-paced sales and marketing environment.

  Preferred Qualifications:
  

• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Marketing, Business or Communications.
  
• Five years of experience within a Marketing/Communications role.

  **This position has a flexible hybrid working arrangement. About half of your days spent onsite at our Home Office in downtown St. Paul, remainder of the days could be worked remotely.**

• Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day
  
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week
  
• Ability to utilize telephone or virtual meeting tool(s) for up to 8 hours per day
