Primary Responsibilities :

• Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
• Booking freight loads (regional and national)
• Negotiate rates with third-party carriers.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoices from carriers
• Utilize logistics TMS portal to ensure competitive rates and compliance.
• FTL, LTL, and some parcel shipment arrangements
• Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels.
• Manage Korpack fleet of vehicles.
• Route optimization
• IDOT compliance
• Driver assignments and recruiting
• Fleet maintenance
• Utilization of fleet software for better business decisions
• ERP and WMS system compliance
• Making special shipping arrangements as necessary.
• Managing distribution and shipment budgets.
• Tracking and fixing shipping errors.
• Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards.
• Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized.
• Facilitate communication between production, customer success, sales, and distribution stages to ensure maximum profitability and a healthy and efficient supply chain.
• SOP follow-through.
• Handle all aspects of shipping and delivery to ensure customer satisfaction by staying in contact and relaying all communications concerning the delivery.
• Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
• Assist with special projects as requested.

What does success look like? (What You’ll do – Mission of the role)

The mission of this role is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels, aiming for maximum efficiency. You will oversee and coordinate transportation systems to ensure prompt shipment pick-ups and monitor shipment costs and productivity processes.

What You Need to Bring to the Role :

Required Experience

• 2+ years of proven, successful experience as a logistics coordinator or supply chain manager preferred.
• Experience of logistics software (ERP).
• Existing carrier relationships
• Experience in managing freight profitability and margin
