Mission:

This position will be responsible for the People and Culture function and operations for the ANZ region. You will work closely with the global People and Culture team (P&C team) to deliver on global HR strategies, will managing local policies and processes. The person in this role will act as a partner to the regional leaders and provide influential and expert support and leaderships across all P&C matters across the business locally and globally.

This role will be responsible for creating and implementing policies, procedures, and supportive resources in line with local legislation and best practices. You will work closely with the Leadership Team to ensure that the P&C strategy aligns with organisational goals and values, and that the strategy is brought to life in the day-to-day work of your team. Further, you will partner with the global People & Culture team to execute region-specific HR strategies and initiatives while staying up to date with developments in employment legislation and human resources best practice.

• Ability to provide leadership, coaching and consultative guidance to employees and leaders across all levels of the organisation.
• Understanding of local employment legislation; ability to apply employment law principles in the organisation.
• Proven ability leading the talent acquisition function; recruiting and onboarding, ensuring we are meeting our DE&I benchmarks and continuation and evolution of our recruitment framework (Topgrading).
• Building rapport and trust with candidates to bring them ‘on the journey’ and ensure they have a memorable recruitment and onboarding experience.
• ing experience including HC, retention, DE&I, leave and absence in a HRIS system and finding ways to proactively make and initiate change to improve on results.
• Experience living by company Core Values and ensuring these are promoted in day-to-day P&C practices.
• Working collaboratively with a Global P&C team implementing global initiatives and processes into local ANZ business and managing workload of local (75%) and global (25%) initiatives as part of your role.

Competencies:

• Drive, tenacity, and proven success in similar P&C leadership role and experience working in a matrixed global role.
• Strong executive presence and communication commercially minded, and results focused while being the face of business with our people and senior leaders.
• Able to manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously while managing the business expectations of both local and global requirements as well as day-to-day operations.
• Thorough knowledge of Australian employment law, HR best practices, and industry trends.
• Ability to build rapport and relationships with employees, business leaders and global partners.
• High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.

Preferred:

• 3-5 years of progressive experience in human resource management
• Familiarity with HRIS Systems (preferably Workday)
• Experience working in a matrix structure and Global P&C team and implementing global initiatives and processes into local business with ANZ appropriate amendments.
