Civil Technician – Leicester | £25,000 – £30,000

We are currently recruiting for a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy who have a couple offices in the UK, one in Birmingham and another in Leicester. You’ll be joining a small team of 7 within the Civil Engineering part of the Leicester office. You’ll be working on a wide range of projects from large multi-million-pound care homes to some student accommodation and one-off special residential houses.
 
With a strong pipeline of work for the 2 years, the consultancy is looking to bring in members of staff who’ll be able to hit the ground running, and therefore, some experience within a similar role is required. You’ll be expected to get involved in discussions about work, with the office adopting a very collaborative feel in the process of completing projects. In addition, you’ll be exposed to both disciplines in Engineering, giving you a good understanding of how both principles come together to complete projects.

Some requirements for the role include:

• Experience in a similar role
• Knowledgeable in Infrastructure or Flood Risk & Drainage
• AutoDesk experience – preferably Civil 3D
• XP Solutions experience – formally MicroDrainage
• Great team working skills, with the confidence to participate in group discussions
• Good communication skills, bot written and orally
• Strong self-motivation, and the ability to work with little supervision
