Position Objective
Responsible for managing Konica Minolta’s portfolio of sports marketing asset to help build strong brand associations and support our client engagements.
Essential Job Functions
- Leads a newly established team to oversee a number of sports partnerships across North America and Canada
- Works closely with the Director of Corporate Marketing and Brand Communications and members of the ELT to determine new partnerships, renewals and retirement plans. Establishes business cases accordingly, to support decision making
- Plays a critical role in contract negotiation with our sports partners – this includes demonstrating a critical mindset in determining what sports marketing partnerships and assets are required to support Konica Minolta’s corporate reputation best supports
- Has good negotiating skills and the ability to influence others
- Able to strategically review how sports partnerships can be leveraged to drive brand salience whether considering internal or external audiences
- Oversees the budget
- Handles all aspects of partnership management on the day to day. This includes:
o Maintaining a strong relationship with our partners
o Manages ticketing for our Sales and Corporate teams (tracking all ticket related activities and generating auditing s)
o Develop accurate, timely and comprehensive s on ticket usage
o Ensure that there is adequate advertising (digital and offline) for key partners
o Plans promotional campaigns where appropriate (internal and external)
o Uses sports partnership to help strengthen the Konica Minolta community
o Supports with the planning and organization of any client facing events
o Works with various department to create and implement marketing plans and programs
o Collaborates with the Digital Marketing team to integrate asset usage into CRM
- Identifies co-innovation opportunities to support our partners and the Konica Minolta brand. Thereafter, to build case studies as appropriate
- Collating the analysis of marketing ROI ing to marketing leadership to help understand performance and determine changes required to partnerships

- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong relationship-building skills and an ability to engage in collaborative decision-making

- Ability to adapt to changing work & business priorities
- A good understanding of sports
- The capacity, energy and willingness to meet challenging demands, work to deadlines and initiate and sustain improvements in service
- Basis understanding of legal contract terms and conditions
Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field required.
- 10 years marketing experience minimum
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PPT).
