Duties and Responsibilities
Assist hiring managers with the identification, interviewing, and selection of all administrative non-exempt candidates for the Old Course Hotel. This includes developing selection criteria, arranging interview schedules, preparing candidates, making travel arrangements (if needed), conducting interviews, evaluating the applicants for job fit, and ensuring a positive experience for all candidates.
Ensure correct interview guides are being used within the hotel to ensure fairness and consistency, as well as enabling the Company to make informed selection decisions in line with organizational values and priorities.
Provide gracious recruiting to candidates by utilizing the Career Management system to communicate, and reject candidates in a timely and professional manner; whilst also building existing talent bank. Work with third party vendors, Corporate HR Staff and use technological advancements (web based forms and social media) to enhance the hiring process.
Manage exit process for Casual and Seasonal associates at the end of the Summer Season with a view to securing Seasonal Returners for the following year.
Ensure regular review of casual worker population, issuing Casual Worker Status Form on a monthly basis to ensure Casual Worker status is kept under review, and HMRC requirements are met.
Lead the resort’s annual seasonal recruitment events, ensuring participation and support from all hiring managers.
Fill all non-exempt (full time, part time, casual, and seasonal) positions as needed.
Responsible for advertising all non exempt and exempt positions (as agreed with Hiring Manager and Manger-Human Resources).
Provide regular reporting in respect of time to fill, recruitment expenses, and ensure accurate vacancy listing is maintained and shared with the resort on a weekly basis.
Assure smooth integration of new hires into the Hospitality & Real Estate Group and Kohler Company. Specifically, ensuring all new associates attend New Associate Induction on Day One employment, and work with Hiring Mangers to ensure a 2 week departmental induction plan is provided for all associates.
Update and revise position descriptions on an ongoing basis – at least once per year.
Establish effective relationships with local schools, colleges, employment bodies (Job Centre Plus) and related charities (e.g. Spring Board, HIT Scotland) to attract new talent and fill apprenticeship roles.
Ensure full compliance with regards to the hiring process, seeking PTR approval for all seasonal/casual positions additional to plan, and all permanent new hires; as well as ensuring the completion and approval of ATRs for all new recruits.
Manage all aspects of staff accommodation, ensuring full compliance with HMO licensing terms and DSA Staff Accommodation Policy, managing arrival/departure process, routine and ad-hoc inspections, and partnering with Maintenance to ensure adequate standards of safety and associate welfare are maintained at all times.
