Senior Sales Analyst – Demand Planning & Forecasting

The Sr Sales Analyst – Demand Planning & Forecasting, is responsible for building relationships with Top customers, understanding their demand planning process, Order patterns / ing systems, establishing processes, parameters, drive inventory recommendations, and assist in developing tools to align demand planning activities to drive world class forecast accuracy and bias.
Support Sales, Marketing, demand planning and management resources in using the systems and tools to their fullest capability;
including improved statistical forecast methods & advanced analytics modeling related to key internal and external data (Point of Sale, Inventory, GDP, housing starts, Remodeling etc).
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Based on customers channel of business Showrooms / Projects / Redistribution , work closely with Sales Enablement team to develop Business Intelligence solutions which will meet the needs of the specific customer and aligns with their market go to strategy.
Data mine the leading indicators for Plumbing Market Housing Starts, Hospitality Index, Remodelling Trend, Migration, Economic Indices, Project Pipeline and consistently feed the actionable insights to Demand Planning team for improving forecasting accuracy.
Establish metrics that deliver on improved demand planning accuracy and TL delivery / margin internally as well as improved lead time, delivery, turns, reduced reliance on master distribution (improved profitability) and experience for the customer.Value add to each.
Identify and establish relationships with key stakeholders from distribution (FEI, Hajoca and top 15 independents)
Lead the efforts to capture POS and Inventory data.
Collaborate on information to best determine inventory levels, WOS, order forecast, POS, capabilities.
Determine joint capability solutions that improve experience, profitability and speed to market. Evaluate potential benefits and improvements within TPM & VMI.
Lead the efforts to mine the leads, Opportunities & Project Quotations from Salesforce and CPQ. Score the leads, enrich the data and feed them into Demand Planning process.
Work closely with Stores team and Marketing to provide recommendations for new store load-in’s as well as new product load-ins.
Develop a systematic approach to funnel that into Demand Planning process.
Collaborate with Showroom Marketing to drive right inventory into the market by geography and customers tied to Displays and Promotions.
Drive Trade Promo Management from end to end across all channels. Effective analyze Price elasticity and provide guidance.
Establish sustainable processes to consistently and effectively manage and utilize key data sources for collaborative forecasting such as Point of Sale (POS) and correlate information with historical orders performance to ensure future forecasts are based on end-customer behavior.
Collaborate with stakeholders across different business groups (sales, supply chain, and marketing) to improve communication & streamline flow of information from one business group to another.
Drive consistency across all business teams regarding forecasting best-practices.Ensure consistent application of key forecasting inputs including historical forecast error, forecast bias, Point of Sale (POS), promotional calendars, historical orders performance, and inventory positions (Kohler & Customer).
Identify the root cause of historical forecast error at a customer level and apply key learnings to future forecasts to improve overall inventory health (reduction in shortages and excess inventory).
Skills / Requirements
Position requires a B.S. degree in Business Administration, Data Science or Advanced Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science and Engineering, Supply Chain, or Mathematics.
Minimum of 5 years of related experience
Knowledge and understanding of project management techniques highly valued.
Experience in at least two different functional areas is preferred.
Data science / advanced analytics / machine learning / big data experience preferred.
1-3 years experience in demand or supply and planning preferred.
Essential : Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, able to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a systematic approach to decision-making, picks up knowledge quickly, energizing, highly reliable and positive attitude, team player, flexible and adaptive.
Assertiveness and common sense, balancing both business and customer focus.
Capable of, and experienced in, working with different functional areas (operations, purchasing, logistics, finance, engineering, sales and customer service) & functions throughout the supply chain (customers, vendors, 3PLs and suppliers).
Exceptional Excel, Power BI and analytical skills.
Azure ecosystems and python knowledge is highly desirable.
Product & industry knowledge advantageous.

The salary range for this position is $87,450 – $111,100. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
