This role plays a key role within our Planning team in our Purchasing Department.
Think you’ve got what it takes to help shape Australia’s eCommerce future?
In this role you’ll be responsible for:
- Monitoring receipting automation, investigate outliers process and promptly
- Investigate variances promptly when notified with key internal / external stakeholders
- Reviewing inventory levels across multiple locations and work with Logistics and Demand Planners to arrange / monitor transfers as required
- Monitoring order ETA’s, advise stakeholders of any delays while maintaining the relevant details in our ERP system
- Reviewing, record & maintain invoices, monitor and work with the Finance team to ensure prompt payment
- Working with vendor’s to resolve any invoice variance
- Continually monitor inventory levels, ensuring our ERP system is balanced with 3PL inventory reports
- Working with relevant stakeholders on weekly and monthly inventory adjustments
- Investigating root cause of various inventory misalignments and propose/manage solutions
- Streamling, improve and automate where possible various inventory management processes
- Analysing and provide clear reporting on current and projected inventory levels, identify issues and anomalies and recommend solutions
- Maintaining clear communication on inventory levels and requirements between the Purchasing Department and the Finance and Logistics teams
- Assisting with Demand Planners and Category Managers with various other administrative tasks as required
To be successful in this role, you should be:
- University Degree qualified in a relevant field (commerce, analytics, maths, accounting, IT, buying, etc).
- Highly analytical and ready to delve into data – being able to evaluate offers and products quickly to determine if they’re of value to our customers is key.
- Willing to learn the art of being a strong negotiator who’s ready to fight for the best commercial outcomes so that we can offer market -leading pricing to our customers.
- A multi-tasking ninja – we expect you to juggle 50 different tasks at once without dropping the ball (we’re not kidding).
- A whiz with Microsoft Excel (we’re talking VLOOKUP and pivot tables, not SUM and AVERAGE – and we will test your capabilities).
- Tech savvy and ability to use various IT and cloud-based tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Ready to challenge, be challenged, and work within our highly disruptive business model.
