What You’d Be Doing In This Role

Kodora is growing quickly, and it is likely this role will evolve as the business scales and grows. In this critical leadership role in our Data and Technology team, you’ll be coaching and providing support to a growing team of passionate engineers, focused on harnessing AI to drive great service and efficiency outcomes for our customers. 

In the early stages of growth this role will have the opportunity to be hands on building proof of concepts and solutions with and for customers as well establishing a team. This is an opportunity to work with and leverage the latest AI products from leading industry vendors.       

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role you’ll need to have a strong background in AI engineering, as well as being an experienced leader and coach. You’ll also be committed to continuous learning in this rapidly evolving industry.

Technical Expertise:

• Solid foundation in AI principles and AI tools: Deep understanding of machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and other relevant sub-fields. Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure AI is preferred but not essential.
• Proficiency in coding languages: Python is essential, with additional experience in languages like R, C++, or Java being beneficial.
• Experience with AI frameworks and libraries: Expertise in TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and other relevant frameworks.
• Data science and big data skills: Understanding of data acquisition, cleaning, preparation, and analysis.
• Strong mathematical and statistical background: Knowledge of probability, statistics, linear algebra, and calculus.

Leadership Skills:

• Building and motivating high-performing teams: Fostering collaboration, communication, and a culture of innovation.
• Mentoring and coaching junior engineers: Guiding their professional development and providing technical support.
• Effective project management: Leading the development of AI projects from conception to deployment, managing timelines and resources.
• Prioritization and delegation: Identifying key tasks and assigning them effectively within the team.
• Clear and concise communication: Communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strategic Vision:

• Understanding of business goals and challenges: Aligning AI development efforts with broader business objectives.
• Ability to identify and prioritize AI opportunities: Evaluating potential applications of AI within the organization.
• Staying abreast of emerging technologies: Continuously learning and adapting to the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
• Strong communication and persuasion skills: Convincing customers and stakeholders about the value of AI initiatives.

Additional factors:

• 8-10+ years of experience, including substantial leadership experience
• Consulting industry experience
• A degree in AI, data science, or a related technology field.
• Proven track record of success in leading AI projects: Demonstrating the ability to deliver impactful results.
