Koç University invites individual applications and nominations from within and outside of Koç University for the position of the Dean of the College of Social Sciences and Humanities.

The Dean is expected to have international credentials in research as well as teaching and to provide leadership in promoting excellence and collaboration among the different research and teaching programs in the College as well as across the university. The Dean is also expected to further international and interdisciplinary endeavors in the light of the University’s strategic goals; to identify and address the key issues regarding the future of higher education; to be an intellectual leader with high aspirations for faculty hiring and retention; and to be a productive fund raiser with the ability to interact and build relationships with various constituencies.

Since its founding, the College of Social Sciences and Humanities has earned a distinguished international reputation. The College is composed of seven departments, including Archaeology and History of Art, Comparative Literature, History, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, and Media and Visual Arts, all offering undergraduate and graduate degrees. The College further encompasses programs in languages and academic writing.
