Kobalt Music Group Hiring for Senior Finance Assistant Job at London, England Full Time

Joining a close-knit Global Finance Shared Services team and reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, the Senior Finance Assistant will be part of the team responsible for the Publishing business unit accounting. The senior assistant will also support the finance team with other ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
WHAT DOES A SENIOR FINANCE ASSISTANT AT KOBALT DO?

• Completing month-end tasks / postings and meeting deadlines
• Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations including royalty, bank and intercompany for Kobalt’s Publishing business unit
• Preparing and analysing monthly balance sheet packs with variance analysis
• Working directly with business unit Finance Managers and collaborate with key finance business partners (Client Affairs, Publishing Operations, FP&A, Tax, and Legal) to ensure accuracy of accruals and account balances as well assist in cross-functional requests
• Liaise with external auditors to manage various annual audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility including preparation of reconciliations and workpapers
• Provide support in ad hoc task and projects as required

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Previous finance experience is required, including through graduate placement as well as currently studying towards a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or ICAEW)
• A track record of working with large volumes of numerical data using Excel
• Strong organisational and time management skills as well as experience of manging tight deadlines
• Enjoys working as part of a team having developed strong interpersonal skills
• A passion for music is essential but if you have experience working in the music industry in a Finance role that is a plus however most important is that you are ambitious, flexible and can adapt to a fast-paced working environment!
