About the Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic leader for the role of Team Leader Integrated Kindergartens.
The Team Leader Integrated Kindergartens leads a team that provides responsive high quality and integrated early childhood services embedded in strong family-centred practice that recognizes and respects the voice of the child and children’s agency. This role is primarily responsible for supporting and mentoring educators across a cohort of services and promoting and ensuring the delivery of high quality, sustainable services that meet pedagogy, practice, and quality and compliance requirements.
This is a Band 6 classified role, remuneration will be $95,229.98 to $103,452.56 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
What you will need to thrive
- Sound knowledge and understanding of contemporary theory and evidence based research in Early Childhood Education and Care for providing high quality programs.
- Highly developed leadership and mentoring skills to support staff in developing agency and professional identity for working within a team environment
- Knowledge and skills for facilitating team dynamics and promoting identified community outcomes.
- The ability to lead and actively support others to engage in reflective practice discussions.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the principles and legislative requirements for the provision of Early Childhood Education and Care services, including the National Quality Framework and Standards.
- Sound understanding of updates to Early Childhood Education and Care Services National Law (Act), Education, and Care Services National Regulations, Food Safety Act, Government policies and frameworks influencing practice and procedures.
The expertise you bring (including qualifications and experience)
- Degree Qualification in Early Childhood Education.
- Current First Aid (Level 2), Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificate.
- Demonstrated successful team leadership and considerable teaching and operational experience in a Children’s Services environment.
- Experience in the use of computer software programs such as the Microsoft Suite, Outlook.
