The Specialist I, Medicare Billing ensures that third parties are appropriately billed and collected for clinical services provided to patients.

The Opportunity:

• Receive, prepare, process, and maintain documents germane to billing while following operational best-practice processes
• Bill payers including Medicare/Medicaid (governmental), Motor Vehicle Accident, Worker’s Compensation, Commercial Health
• Navigate within client systems in accordance with client protocols. System examples: Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Invision, IBAX, other
• Review/resolve claim edits

What you bring:

• Minimum 2 (two) years government medical billing experience required, preferably within a facility setting (hospital)
• Medicare Conditional billing experience required
• Working knowledge of UB04/HCFA completion guidelines and ICD 10 CM and CPT code sets
• UB-04 billing experience
• Experience with Epic, Meditech, Cerner, or other hospital patient accounting system
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
• Mathematical ability to calculate rates using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

The compensation range for this position starts at $18/hour.
