Knowsley Council’s Financial Management Service has an excellent record in providing effective financial advice and support to Council Members, Council officers and clients throughout the community.

The Service aims to ensure the effective management of the Council’s budgets, expenditure and income through professional and high-quality financial processes such as budget preparation, budget monitoring, and closure of accounts.

The Service is managed by the Head of Finance and is composed of four teams, each lead by a Finance Manager. Three of these teams support service clients while the fourth team advises on corporate accounting issues such as the Council’s annual statement of accounts, treasury management activities and VAT.

The post holder will be part of a team providing financial management services to clients. The role will include supporting core financial processes such as budget preparation, budget monitoring, and closure of accounts.

Graduate with a minimum of Grade C or above in Maths and English – able to evidence with certificate.
