Job Position : Talent Acquisition Specialist

Purpose : Under the direction of the Director of Talent Acquisition & Recruitment this talent leader connects the workforce with the opportunities available within KE ensuring we have a workforce ready when needed for production.

This position will work closely with the Director of People & Culture, Director of Recruitment, Director of Marketing, and Divisional Directors to help execute multiple talent programs.

You will build partnerships outside the company to discover and create talent pools that benefit both us and our communities.

This individual will open doors to talent pools leveraging current professional and community work force programs along with the traditional talent pipelines such educational institutions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Serve as the KE liaison to employee pipeline programs. Vet training programs, school programs, and universities and recommend engagement levels to KE leadership.
• This position will require significant travel to build national partnerships and opportunities.
• Leverage KE industry knowledge and provide input and recommendations to established workforce development programs regarding curriculum improvements.
• Present strategic partnerships opportunities with training programs and make recommendations to KE leadership for engagement and contributions.
• Organize community and school-based events and PR opportunities (ribbon cuttings, toolbox distribution, field trips, etc.)
• Control charitable budget and make recommendations to KE leadership on amount of support to each organization.
• Engage with individuals at multiple levels and disciplines on employment needs and translate into actionable steps with employee pipeline programs, schools, and universities.
• Define and measure metrics for talent acquisition programs (dollars spent on employees hired), drilling down to metrics for individual programs and schools / universities.
• Will attend employee check-ins for employees from specified pipeline programs.
• Partnership Development : Identify, create, and nurture connections with key external partners in education, government, community relations, and other forums to build a pipeline of key relationships that support the workforce development programming.
• Work with company leaders to understand and forecast company growth plans and identify talent pipelines & programs to meet those plans.
• Collaborate with company leaders to, design and execute both internal and external facing communications that attract populations to the portfolio of available workforce development.
• Participate in ing to third parties on the positive impact of workforce development to the health of our communities.
• Connect with, learn from, and build relationships with external stakeholders to advance the organization’s vision of a responsive and equitable workforce system including apprenticeship.
• Coordinate opportunities for regional workforce system partners to engage with coaching, learning communities and resources to improve practice, effectiveness, and organizational functions to scale impact.
• Foster and maintain positive and productive relationships with our tribal communities.
• Serve as the main point of contact to pipeline programs, addressing their needs, concerns, and queries effectively and efficiently.
• Regularly visit pipeline program facilities understand their operations and identify areas of improvement or collaboration opportunities.
• Collaborate across multiple departments and disciplines alongside customers to develop joint business plans and strategies that align with our overall business goals.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including business development, marketing, training, operations, estimating etc., to ensure effective communication and alignment between customer and company.

• Strong communication skills, ability to market and champion a learning roadmap, and ability to professionally interact with external partners and internal stakeholders including a diverse employee base.
• Able and willing to travel for work with reliable transportation. Regional travel to local workforce development partners frequently required, and overnight travel to conventions
• Analytical abilities applied to skill assessments, forecasting future workforce needs, and evaluating training program effectiveness.
• Client facing experience highly preferred.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Business analysis and consulting experience a plus
• Problem solving and consultative skills.
• Persuasive & influential communication skills
• Ability to deal with varying levels of stress.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
• Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
