We are looking for a FE to board a cruise ship and provide technical services on board in London.

SCOPE :

• The FE will complete the following work onsite:
• Deploying, and installing equipment across a variety of platforms
• Rack mounting
• Cabling
• Labeling
• Power on
• Assigning IP address and giving remote access to Espace Networks technical team for further final configurations
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to Espace software & hardware environment.
• Updating firmware on servers, switches, and components individually and using firmware update applications
• Installation and configuration of VMware ESXi
• Inventory management of hardware, components, and peripherals for operational consistency will utilize technical knowledge and communication skills to ensure installation tasks and assignments are completed to our customer’s satisfaction

Skill Sets and Equipment Required:

• Mix of Rack and Virtual systems experience
• Skilled with Windows, Linux system administration, and VMware vCenter with at least intermediate skills
• Familiar with command line tools and scripts for automation, administration, data collection and reporting
• Be sensitive and flexible to the needs and requirements of the customer
• A basic knowledge of networking (routing, switching, VPN, VLAN)
• Infrastructure cabling, ethernet, fiber and respective connectors and color-coding standards
• Troubleshooting skills
• No Seasickness or claustrophobia
• Valid Passport
• Fully Vaccinated with Proof of Vaccination Card
• WhatsApp and Slack downloaded
• Read all process Docs
• Cable Crimpers

It is estimated to take the FE 8 hours per day onsite per location to complete the work
The onboard ITO will be responsible for letting FE know when 8 Hour shift begins
The 8 Hour shift can begin anytime during the day/night, and FE will be required to work 8 hours spread out between a 24-hour period.
The FE will have 12 hours of rest time between shifts.

It’s a 3-day task.
