Job Summary

As a pivotal member of our team, the Kiva Key Account Manager (KAM) plays a crucial role in driving sales growth for Kiva brands in the San Diego, Orange County, and Inland Empire regions of California. Collaborating closely with our local distributor, Kiva Sales & Services, the KAM will oversee our key accounts, driving tangible outcomes. This role is centered on achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) through targeted account-level promotional initiatives, trade marketing campaigns, successful new product introductions, adept category management support, and the cultivation of strong trade partnerships. The KAM will contribute to meeting company-mandated metrics and work to establish and enhance buyer relationships within dispensaries.

As Kiva’s Key Account Manager – San Diego, you will…

• Achieve established quarterly sales targets in region by developing customer growth initiatives
• Develop a clear process of being responsible for the business in assigned customers applying information from ERP and Salesforce
• Work closely with Kiva customer partners to implement new and existing business, while driving improvement and establishing positive relationships with customer partners
• Travel to dispensaries to support efforts in establishing relationships with dispensary managers, buyers, inventory managers, and marketing teams
• Provide sales s to management and customers
• Track lead to sale in CRM tool
• Design and implement quarterly business reviews and annual reviews with account base
• Ability to handle revenue, distribution targets and ing for respective territory while seeing opportunity and gaps of growth with current portfolio
• Lead education efforts with budtenders and dispensary staff
• Run the deployment of centrally produced Kiva Marketing assets (i.e. swag, displays, print materials)
• Identify custom-marketing opportunities in high-growth potential accounts
• Spend 80+% of time in field working with dispensary partners and distributor partner. Extensive travel within region is a crucial duty of this position and reliable transportation is required
• Support new product launches and coordinate/complete Budtender trainings/engagement activities
• Source, plan and implement community and retail-based events in conjunction with priority accounts
• Support ancillary marketing/PR opportunities

What we’re looking for…

• An individual of unquestioned integrity, possessing strong communication skills, a sense of urgency and a strategic orientation leadership style characterized by straightforwardness, approachability, team orientation and teamwork
• Proven Key Account Management success in prior roles, with the ability to build relationships that lead to meaningful increases in revenue and market share
• Must be organized and diligent and have excellent social skills!
• Proficient with Google Suite, CRM tools; Salesforce experience a plus
• Ability to build and exert influence both internally and externally
• Passion for the cannabis industry!

What you’ll need…

• The qualified individual must have 5-years minimum sales experience, show ability to lead and be a phenomenal partner with Key Accounts that directly leads to significant revenue generation
• Associate or Bachelors’ degree
• Minimum of 2 years shown experience preferred
• Minimum of 5 years sales experience with growing level of responsibility
