ing to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for KCD’s sales within their respective region and distribution center. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and ensuring sales targets are met through new business development and growth of existing accounts. This position will be responsible for working with the National Account Manager, Commercial Sales Manager, and the Distribution Sales Manager in creating and executing strategic growth plans for the region and providing clear directions to execute on things such as product development, promotions, and pricing. In addition, the Regional Sales Manager must manage and motivate the region’s internal and external sales organization. This includes assisting with the recruiting, screening, and development of the external contract sales groups.

This position can be located in any major city in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Drive an incremental volume of sales through the regional distribution center.
• Establish sales objectives, forecasts and develop annual sales quotas for your region and distribution center, projecting expected sales volume.
• Work closely with the different channel sales managers for projects, distributors, and national accounts on strategy and execution of sales goals.
• Translate sales strategy into tactical sales plans and then execute on established sales plans.
• Work with sales reps to develop and maintain weekly schedule for customer visits in the region.
• Manage and motivate internal and external sales reps to achieve regional sales goals.
• Work with sales reps to continuously build a pipeline of sales opportunities and provide support to sales reps in closing deals.
• Work with sales reps to find new business as well as solidify existing relationships to establish long-term customers with reliable purchasing behaviors.
• Successfully onboard new customers through training on products, services, and systems.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of the competitive market and develop plans to capture your region’s competitive market share.
• Communicate clear and competitive market knowledge from your region’s field in a meaningful way to the sales & marketing team.
• Support the internal Customer Care team as needed in complex situations.
• Travel up to 80% of the time is required.

Qualifications

• 5 + years of sales management experience, including management of direct and indirect sales teams over a diverse geography.
• Experience in the Building Materials industry.
• Experience with cabinetry highly preferred.
• Experience successfully working with large distributors.
• Strong experience and understanding of the different sales channels such as dealer, distributor and pro-direct.
• Proven experience in soliciting new accounts and closing cold call opportunities.
• Exceptional drive and team-oriented mindset with a demonstrated history of setting goals and doing whatever is needed to exceed them.
• Entrepreneurial mindset (i.e., willing to think creatively to find effective methods for getting the job done with limited resources and a willingness to pitch in wherever and whenever the team needs help for the betterment of the overall business).
• Good working knowledge of sales management techniques.
• Strong leadership, administrative, organizational, managerial and communication skills.
• Strong analytical ability to gather and interpret information and develop, recommend, and implement solutions.
• Requires rapid and thorough independent decision making and creative problem-solving skills, good judgment as well as the ability to accept personal and departmental accountability for areas of responsibility.
• PC skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience utilizing a CRM system.
• Demonstrable success in driving sales growth in a B2B environment.
• Experience managing large, professional corporate or regional accounts.
