About the role
The Talent Acquisition Team is here to partner and support our fast paced and innovative organisation, by identifying the talent needs of the business, understanding our data trends and the market in order to attract, source and onboard extraordinary talent through external recruitment and internal talent programmes whilst proactively building a strong external ‘talent on demand’ pipeline.
As the Talent Acquisition Specialist this person will report into the Talent Acquisition Manager and is ultimately responsible for sourcing, attracting and screening high quality candidates for the Group in a timely and cost-effective manner. Taking full ownership of the candidate journey through Kingfisher, ensuring they leave with a positive experience! You will be part of a great TA team who work across locations but closely together to deliver results and continue to build upon the highly regarded reputation of the team and play a crucial part in the delivery of our People & Inclusion agenda.
Within this role you will:
Build relationships with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners to understand the recruitment needs of specific functions in terms of actual gaps and talent pipeline.
Define recruitment needs into an effective campaign brief and sourcing strategy.
Own and deliver the full resourcing cycle for finding the best talent.
Through specialist recruitment expertise utilise a suite of online and traditional tools to source and attract high quality candidates for vacancies and to create a proactive talent pool.
Be responsible for the customer experience from application through to their exit point in the recruitment process
Build local and specialist knowledge about the area and roles recruiting for and share with the appropriate internal stakeholders.
Measure the effectiveness of specific recruitment campaigns and utilise and share learning for future briefs.
Ensure audit compliance of recruitment process such as maintaining accurate data, obtaining right to work documentation, always ensuring GDPR compliance.
Have the opportunity to support on innovative projects that support our delivery of the People and TA agenda
Qualifications:
About you
We’re looking for someone with previous direct sourcing recruitment experience, gained within an in-house or agency environment and demonstrable experience of partnering with stakeholders and building effective and positive relationships.
It is essential that you are confident in sourcing high quality candidates through a number of recruiting techniques including; CV mining, advertising, LinkedIn sourcing, networking, social media and briefing 3rd parties as appropriate to build inclusive talent pipelines.
This is a customer focused team; understanding the needs of internal and external customers and ensure the customer/candidate is at the forefront of thinking. You’ll need to be someone who can pre-empt and be aware of potential risks to a recruitment process and tackle any arising issues in a positive manner. Communication is key when working across our multiple stakeholders; you’ll need to be able to clearly and confidently challenge and influence other decision makers when appropriate.
Whilst retail or specific business area knowledge isn’t essential, the business requires the TA team to become experts in their business areas, keeping up to date with current trends in your own area and staying abreast of competitor activity and industry knowledge.
