HR Generalist/Manager
We are a leading manufacturer of residential and commercial electric heaters located in south Seattle with 180,000 sq ft of manufacturing and warehouse space. We have been in business since 1958 and as we continue to grow, we need team members who want to play key roles in our future.
In this role, you will perform entry level manufacturing candidate generation in the fabrication, assembly, and shipping areas as well as assist management with hiring experienced positions. The ideal candidate will thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment, can roll up their sleeves, work hard, have fun, and get the job done. Additionally, in this family-owned business, you will be exposed to the various areas of the business with the opportunity to backup and assist in other areas.
Position Responsibilities
– Oversee recruitment and hiring process including conduct phone/screening interview and prepare an ideal candidate slate within an appropriate and consistent timeline.
– Managing the company’s appraisal and employee review process.
– Build and maintain companywide job descriptions and offer letters.
– Accessing the need for training and then designing and implementing training programs.
– Articulate recruiting plans with deliverables, timelines, and a formal tracking process.
– Conduct HR investigations and handle any disciplinary issues as needed.
– Maintain existing internal control procedures.
– Provide backup support to other HR activities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
– Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
– Ability to work with minimal supervision on site and/or remote
– Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management.
Education and Experience
4-8 years of experience in human resources
Recruiting entry level/manufacturing position
Experience with posting on various sourcing medias to generate applications
Knowledge of employment laws and regulatory compliances
A combination of experience and/or education in recruiting and/or HR
Professional certification preferred but not required
