We are searching for a Manager of Talent Acquisition — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide leadership to the Talent Acquisition team to meet the needs of the organization. To direct operations and strategic planning for the Talent Acquisition design, philosophies, and goals of Texas Children’s.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Manages team members and team activities by establishing guidelines for individual and team performance to ensure desired outcomes and to meet department and organization goals. Maintains responsibility for completion of work within the team and holds team members accountable with regard to accomplishing job responsibilities.
• Leads team members, providing operational and strategic direction. Oversees the processes of the team and serves as an expert on high-level issues. Provides performance coaching, developing, and appraising for team members. Arranges appropriate and challenging assignments and provides opportunities for training and development. Works with team members to identify opportunities to enhance their strengths and minimize and/or overcome potential limitations. Ensures that talent acquisition processes are efficient and effective, that they meet departmental and organizational goals, and that they are conducted in accordance with all federal guidelines and regulations, organizational policies, and Joint Commission standards.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with senior operational leaders in the organization whose areas are served by the Talent Acquisition team to ensure alignment of goals and objectives, coordination of services, and effective teamwork. Serves as the strategic partner for these leaders and has ultimate accountability for the service provided by the Talent Acquisition team.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with the Account Management team at Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) partner to ensure alignment of goals and objectives, coordination of services, and effective teamwork. Serves as the strategic liaison between RPO partners and senior operational leaders in the organization whose areas are supported by RPO partner recruitment teams.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with other Managers on the Talent Acquisition team, as well as other leaders within the Human Resources department, including those in the community hospital setting, to ensure alignment of goals and objectives, coordination of services, and effective teamwork. Proactively collaborates with all stakeholders to ensure appropriate awareness of and support for process change/improvement and strategic initiatives.

Skills & Requirements

• Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
• Required Bachelor’s Degree with a preferred Master’s Degree in Human Resources Administration, Business Administration, or related discipline
• Licenses/Certifications: SPHR – Senior Prof. Human Resource by the HR Certification Institute, with a preferred SHRM – Society for Human Resource Management certification
• Required 4 years of professional Human Resources, Healthcare, or Business Consulting experience including two (2) years of experience in project and/or team leadership and a preferred 4 years of professional Talent Acquisition experience in a large hospital system and 2 years formal management/supervisory experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
