Kier Professional Services (KPS) are an exclusive in-house resource, providing readily available expert advice to support understanding and resolution of technical project issues in temporary and permanent works. KPS are able to quickly mobilise resources to support project delivery and consistently deliver a dependable design service for buildability and safety.
We are Kier, one of the UK’s leading Construction and Infrastructure services, working on projects such as Hinkley Point C and Mogden Sewage Treatment Works. We are now recruiting for a Principal Engineer to deliver a broad range of complex Civil and Structural and related services in temporary works.
Key Responsibilities
In this exciting Principal Engineer role, you’ll lead on a broad range of Civil and Structural services. Temporary Works design will be your primary focus, providing designs and support for a wide range of projects of differing sizes for our various internal clients. Works may also include Permanent Works designs for buildings, highways, and infrastructure. You’ll also supervise the production of BIM models, support tender schemes, and provide design management advice to support bid winning and project delivery. You’ll lead the development of Group wide technical standards and design processes, identify risks and solutions to facilitate scoping, pricing, designing and construction and provide delivery of bespoke training courses to site-based and construction personnel.
What do we need from you?
We require a Chartered Professional with strong demonstrable experience within this discipline. You’ll have undertaken a wide range of Civil and Structural design in temporary works. Additional experience within Permanent Works design would be beneficial.
