We are now recruiting for an Engineer to join our Highways Design team in Bristol to contribute to the successful delivery of a variety of Highways Design Schemes within budget and timescale and in compliance with National Highways and Kier Quality processes, procedures, reporting requirements, and relevant health and safety legislation, including the CDM Regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the successful delivery of a variety of Highways Design Schemes within budget and timescale and in compliance with National Highways and Kier Quality processes, procedures, reporting requirements, and relevant health and safety legislation, including the CDM Regulations
• Production of scheme documents including BoQs and reports in accordance with the relevant contract
• Contribute to the regular reporting of progress to external and internal Clients and communicating with internal line managers regarding progress against planned programme
• Liaison with National Highways and the wider Community
• Production of deliverables (including drawings specifications, certificates, reports and contract documents), and authorising where appropriate
• Assist in the preparation of Cost estimates and work with Programme team. Help prepare Early Warnings (EW) and Compensation Events (CE) as required

What do we need from you?

• Degree/Higher National Certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent with appropriate experience to be able to undertake the role
• A member of an appropriate Institution (ICE, CIHT, IHE) and working towards professional qualification e.g. CEng /IEng
• Experience in developing contract documents in accordance with relevant contracts
• Good working knowledge of the DMRB and other relevant standards and guidance notes
• Full UK Driving Licence
