We are now recruiting for HR Apprentices to join our Core Admin and Onboarding teams as part of our HR Shared Services Centre (HRSSC) in Rushden. During the apprenticeship there will be an opportunity to work with other teams in within the HRSSC and gain experience in how to administer and advise on a wide range of HR related processes and queries.
Key Responsibilities
Core Admin – Working as part of a team you’ll support with the delivery of first-class HR administration. You can expect to be the first point of contact for HR shared service queries in relation to terms and conditions, pay and other topics as well as processing employee lifecycle changes on our system.
Onboarding – You’ll be supporting the delivery of a first-class candidate experience when onboarding new employees into Kier. You can expect to engage new employees and guide them through the process, raise contracts of employment, conduct pre-employment checks via third parties and maintain accurate employee records and files.
Alongside your role across the teams you will study for a Level 3 HR Support qualification, providing you with all of the practical skills and knowledge to help you succeed as an HR professional.
What do we need from you?
We’re looking for someone who has a passion, dedication, and interest in HR. To be successful in the role you’ll have excellent customer service skills, be able to build and maintain strong relationships at Kier and with external stakeholders. With proven skills in working within a team, you’ll have strong problem-solving skills all whilst being able to keep organised. Previous experience in using Microsoft Office packages (Excel/Teams/Outlook) is also desirable.
