Captain Bligh Early Learning Centre is a privately owned Early Childhood Education Service that provides the highest quality of education and care to 39 children between the ages of 18 months and 6 years.

We have a strong focus on building a sense of community and belonging for our children, families and the team. We have been providing quality early childhood education and care to the families in Bligh Park, South Windsor and surrounding areas for 30 years. We have been an active community member sponsoring the local rugby league club Windsor Wolves which is a hub for young kids in the community. We are now looking for a Diploma qualified educator or Cert III but actively working towards Diploma to join our vibrant team.

This is a part-time position, working on Wednesdays and Thursdays at commencement, starting from early November 2021.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Engage and supervise the children in your room.
• Maintain the children’s routines, ensure the delivery of a safe, high-quality, age-appropriate, individually focused experience for the children.
• Work closely with your room colleagues and the Leadership Team to make sure documentation, observations, reflections and planning in your room are completed in a professional and timely manner.

Skills and experience

• Diploma or Certificate III but actively working towards Diploma
• Current NSW Working With Children Check
• Thorough understanding and sound knowledge of the legislative requirements, regulations, developmental frameworks and the NQF.
• Current certificates in Anaphylaxis, Asthma Management and First Aid.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to undertake positive communication with team members, children, parents and families.
• Sharp eye for details and the ability to engage all children in your allocated group at all times.
