Kickapoo Nation School is located in Powhattan, Kansas. The school services students KG-12 throughout Northeast KS and is the only tribally run school in Kansas.

Kickapoo Nation School is accepting applications for Math Teacher (grades 7-12) for the current school year 2021-2022. Interested candidates are asked to send an up-to-date resume and a copy of their current teaching license.

Qualified candidates must currently hold a valid Kansas teaching license, or be reasonably assured of securing a Kansas teaching license with appropriate endorsement

Indian Preference Policy: Preference in filling vacancies is given to qualified Indian candidates in accordance with Indian Preference Act of 1934 (Title 25, USC, Section 472) and Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). Verification must be submitted with the application if claiming Indian Preference. Consideration will be given to non-Indian applicants in the absence of qualified Indian Preference eligible.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $29,566.00 – $45,000.00 per year
