What is the Job Function?
Kibble is currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior HR Officer to join their existing team. The successful candidate will assist the HR Manager with the operational running of the HR Office and providing advice and guidance on all people matters.
This role is multi-skilled and requires a broad knowledge of HR to help support the HR team, line managers and employees on employment legislation, using company policies and understanding and ensuring these are applied.
Main Duties:
Working alongside the HR Manager to ensure the smooth running and management of the HR Office and HR Team
To provide technical advice and support to managers on complex disciplinary, absence and grievance cases
To support line managers to maximise attendance, promote positive behaviour, enhance capabilities and manage conduct for their staff and teams
Responsibility for the recruitment and on-boarding process for all staff, ensuring that Safer Recruitment practices are maintained
Manage the review, development and amendment of HR related policy, procedure and initiatives, advising and making recommendations, as appropriate, to the Chief Executive and Senior Leadership
Provide staff forecasting and plan accordingly
Creation and monitoring of HR reports
Maintaining an overview of the HR Administrative function
Overseeing the monitoring of staff absence and liaison with Occupational Health
To maintain confidentiality and compliance with GDPR
Provide research and information of specific HR issues as required by the Chief Executive and Senior Leadership Team.
Participate in any ad hoc project teams which may be convened from time to time, providing professional input and guidance as appropriate
To maintain an awareness of employment legislation and future developments relevant to the charity
Any other adhoc duties as required
What qualification and experience are we looking for?
Recognised HR qualification at SCQF level 9 or above
Strong HR technical knowledge
A strong understanding of UK employment law
A solid and up to date understanding of current legislation
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to network and develop relationships at all levels internally and externally
Ability to work in a confidential, professional and diligent manner with minimum supervision
Ability to work in fast paced environment
A working knowledge of HR information systems and Microsoft packages
