Senior Accountant:

What will you do?

Provide assistance to clients with accounting and finance. The scope of work has a common theme, accounting in the government contracting (GOVCON) vertical. The client-base ranges from clients out of the box hiring their first employee to middle market clients that value the focused accounting services that the Firm provides. Each client is unique and KGRF Group (Established in 2005) has a process to input, review and process transactions in the context of decision reporting. Our engagements are fast-paced business owners that have a lot of questions and value our expertise. This position will be vital to the inner working of the accounting cycle.

Their long tenures at large organizations taught them the ability to provide a lot of value to emerging and middle market companies. The Firm was started to leverage their experience and simply work for themselves. It has a been a long journey and we are excited to grow the team!

The details:

The position is for a Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a range of the Accounting process including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll processing, General Ledger accounting and reporting, among others.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Products.
• Unanet experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong understanding of payroll and 3rd party payroll vendors.
• Prior client service experience preferred
• BS degree in accounting, finance or business administration
• ~3+ years of recent accounting related experience including a minimum of 1 year of GL experience is highly desired.
• Remote work, ideally in the eastern time zone

Accounting Expectations: Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.

• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close schedules.
• Reconcile bank account statements.
• Various other monthly account processes: billing, time sheet processing for payroll cycles, posting of cash receipts and disbursements, project accounting and other schedules as necessary.

Description of Day-to-day This position will be working on multiple clients and a professional demeanor will be required. Exempt, salaried position with monthly and annual billable goals.*Compensation Based on experience and level of knowledge.
