Responsibilities of the Director of Research Accounting:

• Director of Research Accounting will perform complex accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization’s financial resources and ensure that it complies with all relevant regulations
• Responsible for the day-to-day management of processes in the GL, maintenance of accurate and reconciled accounts, and for accurate financial reporting at a cost center, division, or business unit level
• Develop, execute, and analyze control reports to ensure all accounts and projects are fully reconciled on a monthly basis
• Director of Research Accounting reconcile complex accounts and check the accuracy of journal entries to ensure GL is accurate so that the organization has a full and accurate statement of its financial position
• Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and accounting statements to provide senior management accurate and timely information for making financial decisions
• As a Director of Research Accounting, you will provide technical accounting advice and training to functional or operational area managers to help them understand financial reports and manage their financial responsibilities

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance / Master’s degree Preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in Accounting
• Three years of supervisory and leadership experience
