Keystone Science School Hiring for Operations Support at Colorado Full Time

The Operations Support is responsible for general property maintenance, and includes both technical and non-technical tasks involving cleaning, plumbing, ventilation, etc. The Operations Support may be required to perform tasks of other unlicensed trades, such as a light equipment operator, carpenter, painter, and/or basic vehicle maintenance. The operations support position may support the food service operations as needed under the direction of the Operations Manager.

Main areas of focus:

• 50% Routine Maintenance and Repairs
• 30% Food Service Operations Support
• 20% Custodial

Routine Maintenance and Repairs

• The Operations Support is responsible for all routine maintenance of approximately 10 buildings and outdoor spaces including our dining hall, administrative space, kitchen, dorms, and staff housing. Maintenance tasks may include maintaining building systems such as heating, cooling, structural integrity of all buildings, and basic vehicle maintenance.

Food Service Support:

• Support food service operations when needed. Duties may include cleaning all areas of preparation and service to ensure a high level of health and safety, cleanliness, and food hygiene. Under the direction of the Food Services Manager, prepare and serve meals and beverages to clients. Wash and dry all dishes used in preparation and service and maintain proper storage.

Custodial

• Completing basic custodial duties on an as needed basis.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to follow directions and cleaning standards with little direction;
• Strong work ethic and will work until the job is complete;
• Motivation to contribute positively to the KSS at-large community;
• Can interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form;
• Multi-tasks efficiently while managing a high-volume workload in a fast-paced, changing environment;
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to be creative and think outside the box;
• Effectively interact with people of diverse backgrounds and different levels of experience;
• Ability to work in a busy environment with many distractions.

Our required education, experience, and certifications:

• Excellent driving record and a valid drivers license;
• English language skills are required.
