Keystone Autism Services is seeking Community Support Professionals to join our team of professional in making a positive difference in the lives of our neighbors and the community.

The Community Support Professional exists to teach, coach and support individuals with autism so that they have opportunities for growth, meaningful life choices and become valued and contributing members of their communities. The person acts as an effective role model to support and assist individuals to have “everyday lives”. This includes meeting new people, developing friendships, finding and maintaining employment, exercising choice, maintaining activities of daily living and accomplishing personal goals.

This position has two levels (I & II); whereas, the Community Support Professional II adds a clinical focus and assists in implementing objectives consistent with Individualized Support Plans, skill development and evaluating and monitoring progress of determined goals.

Job Details/Benefits:

• Community Support Professional I – $15.00 per hour
• Community Support Professional II – $17.00 per hour

Minimum Requirements:

• Community Support Professional I : High school diploma or equivalent
• Community Support Professional II : Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, education, or related human services field or Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field with the equivalent of at least one year of full-time work experience in a position that involved direct support of adults and/or adolescents
• Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and ability to learn other software as needed
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Successful completion of Medication Administration, First Aid, CPR and other mandated trainings within specified timeframes
• Valid driver’s license and daily access to a properly insured vehicle
• Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including motor vehicle record and criminal background checks

Preferred Qualifications:

• Community Support Professional I: 3-6 months combined education in psychology, social work, sociology, education or related human services field and/or work experience in the human services field
• Community Support Professional II: Previous work or internship experience in human services or related field
• Experience working with individuals with autism
