Position available:

Operations Assistant LDC & OOSH

The Role:

To be responsible for overseeing the overall management and functioning of all childcare operations, ensuring that all services adhere to all relevant regulations and statutory requirements. Ensure that all services meet and exceed all Quality Areas in relation to the National Quality Standards, supporting the service through the assessment and rating process. To mentor, support and direct all Educators and Nominated Supervisors, providing valuable information to each individual. Provide professional leadership and guidance to the Nominated Supervisor in the writing of the Quality Improvement Plan, Strategic Inclusion Plan, Reconciliation Action Plan, Centre Policies and Procedures.

Selection Criteria:

A minimum of 2-4 years’ childcare/administration experience

Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Previous experience and/or qualifications in early childhood are required.

Qualifications in business or office administration will be looked upon favourably

Previous experience using Qikkids would be highly desirable

Well-developed written and verbal communication skills

The ability to establish priorities and manage workloads effectively

The ability to relate to children and their families

A personable approach and professional manner

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A commitment to ongoing professional learning

Thorough understanding of EYLF, NQS, A&R process and Regulations

Proven ability to communicate effectively with educators and families

Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously in a team-teaching context

Track record of actively contributing to the efficient and effective operation/development of a high-quality child care service

Maintain a valid paid Working with Children Check through the Office of the Children’s Guardian

Current First Aid and CPR Certification or prepared to complete training

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE

This role is classified as child-related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $59,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
