Key Foundations Preschool Academy Hiring for Lead Teacher, ( 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift) Full Time

E.A.M Preschool is looking for an experienced, caring and energetic lead preschool Assistant Director to join our fun and growing team.

Description of Responsibilities : -Engage children in learning, with teaching methods that are creative, and look to shape the whole being of the child.

-Supervise 3 other Teaching staff, and cook

-Identifying each child’s individual capabilities and needs

-Organizing and maintaining classroom activity areas, materials, and supplies

-Comply with state licensing and accreditation regulations for childcare centers.

-Work with our team to achieve the childcare center’s goals.

-Present a welcoming attitude towards current families on a day to day basis and prospective families who tour the day care center.

-Have a compassionate, caring but firm nature.

-Understand learning comes through play

-Attend licensed day care teacher training, staff meetings, and other professional development initiatives as required.

-All other duties and tasks listed in The Key Foundations Preschool Academy, LLC handbook.

N.C. Lead Teacher Requirements: Minimum of Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. North Carolina Early Childhood Credentials accepted. State criminal background qualification letter. Must be able to adapt to continuously changing, fast-paced childcare center environment, and make the children’s needs their primary focus. Must be able to fully engage in physical activity. Must be able to kneel, stoop, squat, and stand for a long time, and demonstrate and engage in activities like jumping, dancing, walking, and running. The ability to lift up to 30 pounds is also required. Work is primarily performed at the childcare center. Daily outdoor work is required but work is otherwise indoors. Work is sometimes performed off-site for field trips. Must be able to see and hear well enough to monitor classrooms and playgrounds to keep children safe at all times.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.50 – $16.50 per hour
