Job Title: Social Media Strategist

s to: Executive Administrator

Type of Position: Part Time

Salary: $15.00/hr

Purpose: KyHRC was established in 2015 to advocate for the health needs of people who use injection drugs and improve public health throughout the city. KyHRC works to promote and implement strategies that prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C, prevent death by overdose and disease, support healthy behaviors, address addiction, and facilitate clients into medical and mental health care and drug treatment. The Social Media Strategist will develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase KyHRC web traffic and brand awareness.

Position Summary: The Social Media Strategist is responsible for building a community that is responsive, and aware ofKyHRC services and community activities by creating virtual materials, social media posts/campaigns and engaging multiple stakeholders online.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Research audience preferences and discover current trends regarding subject matter of workshops and/or events.

• Create engaging text, image, and video content regarding subject matter of workshops and/or events.

• Design posts to sustain readers, curiosity and create buzz around regarding subject matter of workshops and/or events.

• Measure web traffic to kyhrc.org and monitor SEO in Google My Business.

• Stay up to date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness.

• Train co-workers to use social media in a cohesive matter and inform management regarding trends and benefits of post and content.

• Facilitate online conversations with community stakeholders and prospective workshop/event participants.

• Respond to queries regarding subject matter of workshops and/or events.

• on online reviews and feedback from community stakeholders and participants (both current and prospective).

• Develop an optimal posting schedule and customer engagement metrics with management.

• Oversee social media accounts, layout.

• Suggest new ways to engage and attract prospective populations and community partners.

Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a Social media strategist or Social media manager

• Hands on experience using social media for brand awareness

• Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics

• An ability to identify target audience preferences and build content to meet them

• Familiarity with web design and publishing

• Excellent multitasking skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
