The Student Success Coach is a key function in the institution’s retention efforts and focuses on creating a suitable education environment for all students by removing barriers to learning.

Examples of Duties:

  • Monitor student progress and recommend appropriate solutions and/or services.
  • Perform Administrative tasks as it pertains to students’ attendance and academics.
  • Regularly meet with all students to build rapport and trust with students to support successful goal planning.
  • Hold Orientation, career days and other events to assist students in meeting their success goals.
  • Build relationships with salons/spas and other business that will employ our students.
  • Participate in the creation, implementation, and coordination of retention and placement efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Higher
  • Experience in Social Services or Counseling helpful
  • Experience with Adult Learners
  • Computer skills such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willing to work some evenings
  • Great listener
