Berkshire Nursing Home is a 175-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located in West Babylon NY. Our mission is to provide the highest level of care for each of our residents. We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail oriented and efficient Medical Administrative Assistant to join our interdisciplinary team of health care professionals at our facility in West Babylon!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Support busy nursing department with various administrative functions.
• Arrange off-site clinical coordination for residents (appointments, transportation, etc.)
• Ensure any necessary information is up-to-date and prepared for resident appointments.
• Ensures all necessary information is updated in computer system for tracking and record keeping purposes.
• Gathers patient information by collecting demographic information from various departments.
• Assists in requests for medical records, processes letters and s, answers and directs telephone calls.
• Familiarity and compliance with HIPPA.
