The Opportunity
Reporting to the Coordinator Asset Management, the Asset and Accounting Officer will play a key role in maintaining appropriate business processes and systems to support ongoing delivery of best practice asset management across the organisation.
Required skills & experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess tertiary qualifications in engineering or asset management (or demonstrated experience relevant to the role); excellent computer skills and the ability to use relevant software (e.g. GIS, asset management systems, database management, spreadsheets, word processing, scheduling and computer based estimated); and excellent verbal and written communication.
Experience in asset management (preferably water and sewer); non-current asset accounting and revaluations; knowledge of local government infrastructure asset management processes, procedures and practices; and an understanding of the principles of financial modelling for infrastructure renewals would be an advantage.
