Kelowna Gymnastix Hiring for Parkour Coach Full Time

Duties:

Coaching Duties:

· Coach classes as assigned.

· Carry out non-competitive coaching for drop-in programs (not currently offered), and school groups/user group bookings.

· Develop and carry out team warm-up and physical preparation plans.

· Coach and train for competitions.

· Supervise during Drop-In times (suspended during Covid).

Non-Coaching Duties:

· Plan, develop and implement daily training sessions.

· Communicate with parents on an as needed basis in a timely and professional manner.

· Work collaboratively with other coaches to plan special events.

· Attend any scheduled coaches’ meetings, and technical/planning meetings as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Respect in Sport Certification (may complete upon hire)
• Criminal Record Check
• Have management skills
• Be energetic and actively foster a positive atmosphere.
• Be approachable and solution oriented with superior verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recreational Parkour Certification
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within parkour.
• Preference given to those with 2-3 years parkour coaching experience.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within parkour.
• Be willing to update Standard First-Aid & CPR certificates.
• Making Ethical Decisions certificate.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
