JOB OVERVIEW

The Manufacturing Production Coordinator is responsible for the tracking and reporting of Internal/External work orders across the Shops and Manufacturing areas daily.
The position operates on behalf of the Manager and is a key link in communication with customers (internal and external) for requests, vendor data management and all other questions relating to the processing and status of work order requests through the Manufacturing and Repair Shops Planning & Production areas.
The individual works closely & cooperatively with our Manufacturing and Repair Shops Planning department and the Shops Scheduling department to ensure that orders are processed and delivered on time.
The Manufacturing Production Coordinator reports to the Manufacturing and Repair Shops Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Order creation, tracking & reporting
Create, develop, and maintain orderbook reports including but not limited to backorder reports, (KPI’s)
Identify Priorities of each order based on urgency of product needed, specifications, and shipping and delivery requirements
Monitor and release orders within the order book, and manage internal communication for discrepancies to ensure on time delivery to meet customer expectations
Ensure work order requests are updated to maintain system integrity
Clearly document, organize, and maintain records of incoming customer requests, and follow up communications for query
Technical Knowledge
Understand material and process capabilities and limitations within KF
Understand Vendor capabilities
Direct any technical questions to the appropriate personnel
Customer Relations
Maintain up to date knowledge of KF Aerospace’s customer requirements
Sales – coordinate manufacturing and repair quoting system and ensure customers are provided with quotes, capabilities & completion estimates in a timely fashion
Other
Maintain positive working-relationships with pertinent internal departments and team members
Know, understand, and incorporate the KF Aerospace philosophy, value and vision in all business behaviors, practices, and decisions
Perform ad hoc projects and tasks (as assigned)
Attend department or company sponsored training or meetings, as required
REQUIREMENTS
Required Certification, Education and Experience
Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering Technologist diploma required
Relevant work experience is an asset
Proficient MS Office Suite programs
Understanding of aerospace business processes and regulations
Experience with production processes, design, and implementation
Experience working in an ERP environment
Familiarity with aviation manufacturing processes, terms, and support systems
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts including 5S, SMED, Kanban, and One-Piece Flow
Other
