What’s a typical day as a Financial Analyst? You’ll be:

• Responsible for: Performance Management, Forecast & Budgeting, Support Charging, Purchasing, Admin
• Translating strategy into business and functional financial plans improving business performance while ensuring that the management information and insights provided can be relied upon
• Actively driving and managing all Finance & Controlling activities, providing support and advice to IT management team in all financial and commercial operations
• Coaching the leadership and their teams to improve financial acumen and promote a cost-conscious culture
• Reviewing actuals vs forecasts including insightful commentary, identifying trends, and any corrective actions required by the management teams
• Accountable for effective business & financial controls and compliance
• Supporting and executing technology purchasing in close collaboration with the headquarters
• Striving to further improve our business steering processes and shaping the Global Business Partnering journey
• Responsible for Finance-Hub Mexico/US to drive Finance & Controlling activities, providing support and advice to IT Management in all financial and other commercial operation-related matters
• Assisting IT Managers in managing their P&L, considering global FDT’s strategy and initiatives, as well as all tracking of measures
• Preparing analysis of operating expenses comparing results to budget, forecasts, and prior year to support providing explanations of all significant variances by responsible managers
• Preparing profitability analysis on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Supporting and actively driving local budgeting and forecasting in very close alignment with the managers and HQ to construct new budgets from the ground up, entering good notes about every line item charge, and compiling reports for forecasting/trending and results analysis
• Participating in the process of allocation of sales deductions by product
• Supporting financial management in the development and implementation of strategic planning process
• Participating in the development of improvements in existing reports and analysis
• Responsible for maintaining IT systems and loading financial results in local systems (e.g. SAP and Cognos TM1)
• Participating in supplier evaluations
• Verifying purchases are approved and consistent with company policies and procedures
• Participating in the review of the policies and procedures to improve purchasing efficiencies
• Following-up/expediting orders as necessary
• Taking corrective action and resolve equipment order/service discrepancies, obtain credits, etc. as necessary
• Responsible for maintaining master data in corresponding local systems
• Reviewing technology purchasing decisions and orders to ensure adherence vendor contracts

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

• 5+ years of experience in the field of Controlling and Accounting or related area
• Extensive knowledge in Business Intelligence tools (e.g. SAC, Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, TM1)
• Proficiency in SAP BW and MS Office
• IT background (preferred)
• A bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Financial and Performance Management and/or Accounting preferred)
