The Keho Lake Recreational Society board of directors are seeking applicants to join our busy team within our clubhouse, kitchen, and pro shop as our kitchen manager.
Keho is a challenging 9 hole golf course with a clubhouse consisting of a pro shop and restaurant open to guests and golfers during our open season from March until October. There is also a campground which consists of 117 seasonal campers, 10 rental overnight campsites, and 2 group camping areas that are available for bookings.
Staff Requirements:
Experience is an asset in the restaurant industry in a leadership role as well as customer service, and/or golf industry.
Completion of secondary or post-secondary education in relation to restaurant management and/or culinary schooling.
Knowledge of restaurant and kitchen operations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Knowledge of some basic accounting procedures related to daily cash outs and ing.
Certification in Pro Serve will be a requirement (if not already certified).
Intermediate knowledge of computers, and the ability to use a retail sales software program.
Duties of Staff can include, but are not limited to:
Ability to manage and run the restaurant/kitchen operations on a daily basis with staff.
Ability to complete customer food orders and all other orders that come in.
Planning and maintaining inventory and supplies for the kitchen.
Establishing work schedules for all restaurant/kitchen staff, and ensuring a high quality standards in food and service are met.
Ability to work with the pro shop manager and staff for special events and tournaments with food/beverage planning.
Having the ability to work within the kitchen environment in meal/beverage preparations and delivery.
Maintaining a clean and safe environment within the clubhouse, kitchen, and pro shop with daily/weekly cleaning.
Staff Skills & Assets:
Possession of superior customer service skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with golfers, campers, and guests.
Ability to work independently and within a team of staff.
Having effective verbal and written communications with all staff, board of directors, and guests.
Employment Information:
Employment is seasonal running from March 15th, 2023 until October 30th, 2023, and will be a full time position.
Seasonal salary range of $30,000.00 to $40,000.00 will be negotiated upon experience and knowledge, and a seasonal year end performance based bonus may also be negotiated.
