The Opportunity

KBR is very well positioned to support the Department of Defence to deliver on the Nuclear Submarine Infrastructure pipeline made clear as part of the Government’s recent announcements.

Following a series of project wins we have a strong pipeline of work nationally. We are looking for enthusiastic, experienced Mechanical Engineers (HVAC) to join our growing team.

ing to the Mechanical HVAC Team Lead, you will undertake the design of mechanical HVAC systems in buildings, within the Defence, education, health, and transport sectors.

You will support client and project manager stakeholders in the delivery of capital works programs at all stages of their lifecycle and form part of a delivery team and within that context the position is expected to collaborate with and assist peers and subordinates.

You will participate in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, and use judgment in making adaptations and modifications.

In This Role You Will

• Prepare and verify designs and calculations (including self-checking) using either manual methods or with the aid of computer programs
• Proficiently prepare and review s and technical specifications
• Have proficiency in the use of Revit and federated models for engineering design
• Demonstrate a good understanding of client needs and contribute to achieve a high level of client satisfaction
• Actively participate in the Company’s quality and HSE programs

As The Ideal Applicant You Will Have

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• The ability to work independently and within a team to deliver project documentation requirements within a multi-disciplinary project according to budget, schedule, and quality requirement
• A Practical knowledge and commitment to Health and Safety and comply with safety, environmental, quality controls and relevant review and approval processes
• Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a defence security clearance
