Position Details
Job Title: HR Advisor
Department: Human Resources
Reporting to : Member of the Executive Board
Qualifications and Experience
The Human Resources advisor will play a key role in partnering with members of the management team and their teams in relation to day to day HR matters, taking on a wide range of operational HR services including managing employee relation cases and updating and amending HR policies and procedures.
This role will be based in our head office in Speke, Liverpool and is a full time and permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary package dependent upon candidate experience. Along with a competitive salary, the incumbent will also receive 20 days holiday, active professional training and development, and a company pension scheme.
Duties and Responsibilities
Preparing and administering recruitment processes
Vetting applicants and performing background checks
Maintaining and managing employee records
Assisting with payroll calculation
Reporting to management on HR performance
Identifying and highlighting HR process issues
Answering employee queries related to HR
Record and monitor appraisals
Provide guidance and advice on all ER matters (disciplinary, grievance, absence, ill-health, and performance capability).
Provide managers with support on employee concerns ensuring all cases are managed effectively and in-line with relevant policies and legislation.
Ensure that managers deal with issues professionally and sensitively in accordance with procedures and best practice.
Own HR policies, ensuring they are kept up to date and, in line with changes to business needs and legislation.
Supporting with employee change programmes within the business when required.
Coach managers through grievance hearings, investigation meetings, disciplinary hearings, and health-related absence cases
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation/case law.
Review and provision of monthly ER data.
Ownership across absence triggers as per business policies.
Responsible for GDPR compliance.
The ideal candidate
will be Level 5 CIPD qualified or actively working towards it
will have experience dealing with ER casework
will have experience working within a fast-paced People function
will have up to date knowledge of employment law
will have the ability to act on their own initiative and think outside the box
will have the ability to challenge in a professional manner
