For the past 85 years, Kawartha Dairy has been proud to be a 100% Canadian-owned company, still operated by the same family that founded it in 1937. Although the company has grown tremendously from its early days, it still remains headquartered in the lakeside community of Bobcaygeon, Ontario, near Peterborough, an hour north of the GTA. We still use fresh milk and cream, delivered daily from local farms to make our premium, rich and creamy ice cream and dairy products.

Kawartha Dairy is proud to launch a Paid Student Employment Program. This opportunity is focused on helping students gain valuable work experience and insight into the Dairy and Customer Service industry.

We are offering paid summer employment. This fulltime paid role will be a part of our dynamic and strong Customer Service team.

What You’ll Do:
Deliver accurate, appropriate, and courteous customer service for the purpose of order entry

Respond to all customer-initiated inquiries (internal and external), delivering fast and efficient service, while displaying a strong sense of ownership. Re-directing calls to the appropriate personnel when needed.

Resolve inquiries at first point of contact where possible and escalate complex issues that require resolution by more senior team members as applicable

Work in collaboration with other team members to ensure the overall service levels are met or exceeded

Provide transactional and delivery system support to Delivery Associates while in the field

Assist with generating any manual paperwork when necessary

What you Need:
Be 18 years of age or older at time of hire

Preference for 1-3 years of experience in a call centre, customer service and/or sales function

Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, excel). Ability to use MS Dynamics an asset.

Legally permitted to work in Canada

Available for start of the program May 2022 (or sooner)

Ability to work shifts outside of regular hours (weekends, evenings, and statutory holidays

Preferred Major and course work: Education with a focus on Business or Marketing

Returning to attendance at college or university after completion of their summer employment

Impeccable communication skills; Courteous and respectful in all interactions
