The Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a Designer, Junior to join our Vancouver Office. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative and exciting projects across a variety of market sectors (institutional, healthcare, transportation, and commercial) within an engaging team environment. The student will collaborate with their project teams to gain experience in all facets of architecture.
Here’s what you’ll be doing at Kasian:

• Assist with concept and schematic design
• Assist with site planning and programming
• Create presentation material including presentation boards, material boards, models, elevations, and 3D renderings
• Assist in preparation of development permit packages, assist with rezoning submission packages
• Assist in preliminary code and bylaw analysis
• Assist with client and consultant communication and coordination
• Assist in the preparation of contract documents
• May assist with contract administration items such as change orders and progress claims

Here’s what you bring to Kasian:

• Graduate of an accredited Arch or M. Arch program coupled with up to 5 years of related experience
• Intern registration with a provincial regulatory board an asset
• Excellent graphics software proficiency (Revit, Lumion, Sketchup, Adobe Creatve Cloud)
• Well-rounded architecture experience in terms of exposure to project phases and stages
• Demonstrated design aptitude and passion for design excellence
• Exceptional creativity, ability to think through design issues critically, knack for visual communication
• Effective communication and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Team player
